Effective Date: September 1, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at https://acronymix.com (the "Site"), including any content, functionality, products, services, tools, or applications offered on or through the Site (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Acronymix ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. By accessing, browsing, or using the Site or Services, or by clicking to accept or agree to these Terms when this option is made available to you, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (incorporated herein by reference). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site or Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Company. We recommend that you print or save a copy of these Terms for your records.
Your access to and use of the Site and Services is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By using the Site, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement and that you accept these Terms.
For maximum enforceability, use a clickwrap or scrollwrap mechanism requiring affirmative assent (for example, checking a box or clicking “I Agree”) before access, account creation, or purchase. Passive browsing alone is generally not a reliable way to form a binding agreement.
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is greater), to use the Site or Services. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
The Site provides information, tools, resources, and services related to acronyms, abbreviations, and related content (as available). We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time without notice. The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
If the Services require or allow account registration, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
You agree to use the Site and Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:
- Violate any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of the Company or any third party.
- Engage in any activity that is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other users’ accounts, computer systems, or networks.
- Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, spiders, or similar tools) to access the Site without our prior written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Site or Services.
- Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
- Collect or harvest personal information about other users without consent.
- Use the Services for any commercial purpose not expressly authorized by us.
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates this provision.
The Site and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including all information, software, text, displays, images, video, audio, design, selection, and arrangement) are owned by the Company, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
These Terms permit you to use the Site for your personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our Site, except as follows:
- Your computer may temporarily store copies of such materials in RAM incidental to your accessing and viewing those materials.
- You may store files that are automatically cached by your web browser for display enhancement purposes.
- You may print or download one copy of a reasonable number of pages of the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use and not for further reproduction, publication, or distribution.
If you print, copy, modify, download, or otherwise use or provide any other person with access to any part of the Site in breach of the Terms, your right to use the Site will stop immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.
If the Services permit you to submit, post, or otherwise make available content ("User Content"), you retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display such User Content in connection with the Services.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to the User Content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law. We may remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, in our sole discretion.
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information, including personal information. If you are a resident of a state with a consumer privacy statute (including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, or similar laws in other states), you may have additional rights regarding your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. Privacy rights that cannot be waived by contract remain available to you.
THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. NEITHER THE COMPANY NOR ANY PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH THE COMPANY MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION WITH RESPECT TO THE COMPLETENESS, SECURITY, RELIABILITY, QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY OF THE SITE OR SERVICES. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, NEITHER THE COMPANY NOR ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THE COMPANY REPRESENTS OR WARRANTS THAT THE SITE OR SERVICES, THEIR CONTENT, OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, THAT OUR SITE OR THE SERVER THAT MAKES IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT THE SITE OR SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE WILL OTHERWISE MEET YOUR NEEDS OR EXPECTATIONS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PROVIDED BY LAW, THE COMPANY HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
The foregoing does not affect any warranties that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE COMPANY, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS, OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR SERVICES, ANY WEBSITES LINKED TO IT, ANY CONTENT ON THE SITE OR SUCH OTHER WEBSITES, OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE OR SUCH OTHER WEBSITES, INCLUDING ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, PAIN AND SUFFERING, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF DATA, AND WHETHER CAUSED BY TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE.
THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD OR FOR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER FLORIDA LAW OR THE MANDATORY LAW OF YOUR JURISDICTION.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. In those cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Site or Services, including your User Content, any use of the Site's content, services, and products other than as expressly authorized in these Terms, or your use of any information obtained from the Site.
We may terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Site or Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Site will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or related to them, their subject matter, or their formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to the dispute-resolution section below, you and the Company agree that the state and federal courts located in the State of Florida shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not subject to arbitration, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts. You waive any objection based on forum non conveniens or lack of personal jurisdiction, to the extent that waiver is permitted by law.
If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your state of residence apply to the extent they cannot be waived by contract. Those non-waivable rights are preserved. They do not change the designated governing law or Florida forum except where a statute expressly requires otherwise.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT.
Before starting formal dispute resolution, you agree to contact us at the address below and try to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith within thirty (30) days.
If the dispute is not resolved informally, you and the Company agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity of these Terms, or to the use of the Site or Services (collectively, “Disputes”), will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies and remains in that court.
The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at www.adr.org, or under other rules the parties agree to in writing. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this arbitration agreement. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Florida, or by video conference if the applicable rules allow it and the parties agree. The arbitrator shall apply Florida law consistent with the Federal Arbitration Act. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU AND THE COMPANY AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice of your decision to the contact address below within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your name, address, email address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, the arbitration and class-waiver provisions will not apply to you, the rest of these Terms will still apply, and disputes will be resolved in the Florida courts described in Section 13.
Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or to prevent irreparable harm.
Nothing in this Section limits any right that cannot be waived under applicable law. If a provision of this Section is unenforceable as to a particular claim or person, it will be severed or limited only to the extent required, and the remainder will stay in effect.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when we post them and apply to all later access and use of the Site, unless a later effective date is stated. Your continued use of the Site after revised Terms are posted means you accept the changes. We will provide notice of material changes as required by law. If we offer automatically renewing subscriptions, we will also comply with applicable automatic-renewal disclosure and cancellation rules, including Florida law and any non-waivable rules of the consumer’s state.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, are the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Site and Services.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. A provision that is unenforceable will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed.
- Waiver: No waiver of any term is a further or continuing waiver of that term or of any other term.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Electronic Communications: You consent to receive communications from us electronically. Electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that communications be in writing. Florida’s Uniform Electronic Transaction Act (Fla. Stat. § 668.50) applies to electronic records and signatures under these Terms.
- Attorneys’ Fees: If Florida law or a court of competent jurisdiction permits recovery of attorneys’ fees by a prevailing party, that recovery is limited to what the applicable statute or rule allows.
- Notices: Notices under these Terms should be sent to the contact information below.
